Altrusa International of Chula Vista is a volunteer-led organization made up of local community members dedicated to supporting literacy, education, and student learning. For more than 70 years, the group has partnered with schools and nonprofits to expand access to books and learning opportunities for students and families.

“Each year, we are inspired by the dedication and creativity of our teachers. Their passion for nurturing young readers is the heartbeat of this program. Altrusa is honored to stand beside them, and we are grateful to our community partners whose support allows us to place meaningful literacy resources directly into classrooms where they make an immediate and lasting impact,” said Lina Cestero, President of Altrusa International of Chula Vista.
